Black beauty…

*Stag Creek Lydiker

*Stag Creek Lydiker

Wowza!!! What an amazing Curly Horse!!! Lydiker started his kindergarten training yesterday, and this is one fancy colt folks! And one of a kind too! His dam has recently been sold for export to France (she is at the quarantine as I write this)……so there will not ever be another Lydiker!

Fancy colt!!!

Fancy colt!!!

Not only is he friendly, sweet, gaited, handsome, and fun…..he is everything a natural horsemanship trainer could ever dream of!!!  In fact, this boy seems to have written the book – he follows the text to a “T”!!! Just the slightest motion clues him in to what you want him to do, and he follows through willingly. Within just a few minutes of his first lesson, he was standing unrestrained while I flung the rope end over his back and around his legs…..and it was his first experience with the rope!

*Lydiker is a sweet boy!

Today was the same again…..even better!  What a fun boy!!!  If you have ever started a colt that has been raised in a natural herd environment, you know what a delight they are to work with….they come to their training with a freshness and “honesty” that makes you look forward to spending time with them!  Lydiker is for sale…….for now.  🙂

Happy trails!
